No.1: NFL Pick Me

With the NFL draft taking place today through until Saturday, it seemed fitting to include a video of some sorts about the American version of Rugby. This is a video composed to demonstrate the athletic prowess of some of their players and whilst I doubt some are real, it is nonetheless a good watch. There are quite a few of these videos so feel free to browse through the others. The All Blacks skill piece is based upon this.

No.2: Sevens Classics, NZ v Fiji Adelaide ‘07

A fascinating encounter in Australia as New Zealand take on Fiji in a match that goes right to the wire. A young Adam Thompson is on the Bench for New Zealand, Whilst William Ryder in his prime steals the show.

No.3: Jim Telfer Lions Speech

Possibly one of the best speeches ever, certainly within Rugby. Jim Telfer delivers a speech to the Lions forwards on the eve of the first test v South Africa. I’m sure many of you know the outcome of the match, if not then GET TO KNOW! This will get the hairs on the back of your neck up and your heart beat pumping I’m sure.

No.4: Lions v South Africa ’09 2^nd test

Dubbed as one of the best and most physical test matches ever, the Lions are down 1-0 and need a win to set up a 3^rd test decider. Some of the hits in this match are incredible and I think most people will agree that its one of the few matches that I’m quite happy to be a spectator rather than a player for. If you didn’t already, then you will hate Ronan O’Gara.

No.5: Shane Williams Farewell Documentary

A very interesting documentary on Shane Williams as he prepares to bow out of professional rugby. A true legend of the sport, a side step to die for and an inspiration for any player who is told he is too small to play professional rugby. We’re going to miss you Shane!
